Clerked

AI clerks that run your AP, inside Business Central.

Clerked's AI clerks work inside Business Central. They find invoices in your inbox, match every line to the purchase order and posted receipt, catch billing errors before you pay them, and draft replies to vendors. Business Central stays the system of record.

Every line checked against its order

Each purchase invoice line is checked against its order line: how much was ordered, how much has been received and how much was already billed. An invoice that arrives before the goods waits for the posted receipt, and a line billed twice is held.

Approvals from email or Teams

Keep your approval workflow in Business Central, or let approvers outside finance answer from email or Teams with no login. Each request carries the invoice, the order and the reason it needs them.

About a month to go live

On Dynamics, including Business Central, our average customer goes live in about a month, and our integrations never take longer than two months. On the Dynamics side, Boyd Industries went from printed invoices walked around for approval to in-app routing on Dynamics GP.

How it works

Microsoft's Payables Agent turns PDFs sent to a mailbox it watches into draft purchase invoices, but it doesn't post them, run approval flows or flag anomalies. The ERP did the ledger, and AP is still manual: the approvals, the exceptions and the vendor email still sit with your team. That's the part Clerked takes.

On Business Central, the invoices that take time are the ones that don't line up neatly with the order: one bill covering three receipts, an invoice that arrives before the goods, a price above the order's direct unit cost, or freight nobody put on the PO. Clerked matches what lines up and holds the rest with the reason, sent to the person who owns it. When it's the vendor's to fix, the clerk drafts the reply.

Invoices go into Business Central as purchase invoices, coded by line. Nothing posts until it's approved, whether approvals happen in Clerked from email or in Business Central itself. Business Central stays the system of record, so nothing is migrated or replaced.

Security and control

  • Nothing is written to Business Central until the invoice has passed every approval your rules call for.
  • Approvals start with a person, and approvers can answer from email with no login.
  • Each invoice is checked again just before it's written to Business Central, and one that wouldn't post cleanly is held for your team.
  • Approved invoices go to whatever pays them today.
